I will always be a big fan of the Muppet Show, but I never really watched much Laugh-In or Smothers Brothers, other than a few clips here and there. Yeah, Lunchables are still around. They must be popular because now YouTube influencers are even making competing products. It's crazy. I have a list of ideas, but next I plan to revisit some of the projects I created on my other channel. Eventually, I would like to have a version of those on the new Retro Art Lab Channel.
Being a “Ground Zero Gen X-er” (born in ‘65), I was squarely in the demographic crosshairs of these delightful features! “Schoolhouse Rock” and its spin-offs cranked out so many instant ear worms, some of my favorites being “Conjunction Junction”, “I’m Just a Bill”, and “My Hero, Zero”. Those behind the scenes certainly rose to the challenge of truly educated children in a fun, memorable way.
Well, I guess I don't know any of these shows. In the 1960s and early 70s It was Laugh In, Smothers Brothers, The Muppet Show for me. In the 80s we did not have TV where we lived. That did not change until 1991 when a neighbor moved and sold us his satellite dish. We really weren't in the habit of watching TV much at the time, but bit by bit the boobtube pulled us back in.
I see at the grocery store Lunchables still exist. I don't think RFK Jr. would approve.
Yeah, those two were a little more obscure, with episodes, but I'm glad I was able to bring back memories of the others.

I absolutely LOVED Schoolhouse Rock as a kid! The tunes were catchy, and the info provided…INVALUABLE!
