#10 Monster Disguise Stickers
Inside specially marked boxes of Count Chocula and Franken Berry, a thrilling surprise awaited young adventurers — Monster Disguise Stickers! With three sets to choose from, kids had the power to transform their appearance in the spookiest ways imaginable. These stickers offered a variety of creepy options, including spooky eyebrows, ghastly facial scars, menacing fangs, or a bloodshot third eyeball right in the center of their foreheads. The instructions were simple but filled with fun: "Peel 'em off, stick 'em on, and get ready to scare your friends!"
#9 Boo Hooter
Debuting in 1973, Boo Berry brought along his zany invention, the Boo Hooter, which became a beloved surprise inside Monster Cereal boxes. This compact, handheld kazoo-like device came in four vibrant colors and added an element of whimsy to breakfast. When you blew into it, it produced playful hooting sounds, inspiring kids to gather with their friends and create their very own Boo Hooter bands!
#8 Monster Paint Set
The Monster Paint Set was a creative prize included in cereal boxes, perfect for young artists. Kids could use the included brush and activate the dry paint pallet with water allowing them hours of creative fun expressing their artistic talents and bringing to life colorful scenes of the Monster Mascots in silly adventures.
#7 Monster Door Knocker
“Put a Monster on your Door” Kids in the 70s were invited to Greet visitors to their room with one of three colorful door knockers and while a knock with your fist would likely result in a louder noise than these plastic door knockers that didn’t make them any less fun as a stylish decoration. Each door knocker could be personalized by writing your name on the included nameplate inviting or warning visitors of who or what lurked inside.
#6 Monster Cereals Puff Chute
Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Fruit Brute Cereals Featured one of the four Monster Mascots figurines attached to a parachute. Kids would fold them up and slip them into the white plastic blow tube Then, you would "puff" into the tube - shooting the high-flying monster into the air as they watched the chute open and the monster would float safely to the ground.
#5 Monster Erasers
Inside specially marked boxes of Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Boo Berry, Monster cereal enthusiasts could unearth one of six vibrant and collectible pencil-top erasers. Each set featured representations of the three beloved characters, along with charming extras like bats, owls, and skull and crossbones. These erasers blended fun and functionality, making them the ideal addition to the school supply repertoire. With these quirky erasers, kids could proudly showcase their favorite cereal mascots while making corrections and adding a creative twist to their everyday classroom adventures!
#4 Monster Bike Spinner
"Riding your bike can be more fun when you have a Monster Bike Spinner. Each spinner is made of durable plastic and comes in four different colors. Collect all four Monster Bike Spinners." 1975 in boxes of Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, and Fruit Brute Included bike spinners you could snap-on of the four cereal mascots onto the handlebars of your bike, and if you rode fast enough a propeller would spin.
#3 Spooky Speedsters
Spooky Speedsters were miniature dragsters that brought the zany personalities of the three original Monster cereal mascots to life. Count Chocula's Midnight Creeper took the form of a spooky coffin, while Franken Berry's Silly Stretcher transformed into a quirky operating table. Boo Berry's Crazy Cloud Car, with its rounded corners, resembled a souped-up race car from the wildest dreams.
#2 Wacky Whipper
In a limited-time promotion, kids were invited to mail in two proofs of purchase from their preferred General Mills cereal to receive a Wacky Whipper. This sticky, whip-like toy offered the excitement of grabbing objects from up to ten feet away. Aim, snap the whipper to a target, and watch it return to you. With practice, you could become a master at retrieving hidden treasures or surprising your friends with its flick-of-the-wrist action.
#1 Monsters Adventure Records
In the delightful year of 1979, tucked within Monster Cereal boxes, you could discover the entertaining treasure known as Monsters Adventure Records. These collectible flexi disks were your ticket to thrilling escapades featuring Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Booberry in three remarkable adventures: "Count Chocula Goes to Hollywood," "The Monsters Go Disco," and "Monster Adventures in Outer Space." These little disks were bursting with entertainment, allowing you to immerse yourself in the whimsical worlds of your favorite monsters.
